ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

UNDER 9 HURLING:

Our U9 hurlers made the trip to Tipperary last Saturday morning to take part in the Munster Blitz in Thurles. On a nice morning for the games, the lads put in another great effort on the field, competing for every ball, and battling all the way to the end of the games.

Well done to everyone, and to all the mentors and parents who helped out on the day. Following the games, the lads went to Supermacs for a well-earned treat for all the hard work they put in throughout the season.

UNDER 8 HURLING:

The U8 hurlers made the trip to Mooncoin last Saturday morning to play a number of challenge matches. The team have improved greatly over the last number of weeks, and put in another solid effort on the field today, which pleased the trainers, well done everyone, and thanks to Mooncoin for the invite.

UNDER 13 CAMOGIE:

No joy for the U13 Camogie side last Saturday morning, as they were defeated by a stronger Ballyduff Lower side in Kilmeaden. This young side battled all the way, and kept going until the final whistle. With the majority of the team underage for next season, no doubt this year will stand to them.

CAMOGIE AGM:

The Camogie Club’s A.G.M. will take place on Wednesday, November 22nd at 7:15pm in the clubhouse. All are very welcome to attend.

BON VOYAGE:

Everyone at Ferrybank GAA club would like to wish club members Stephen O’ Kane and Ryan Tierney the very best of luck as they head off to Australia and Poland respectively. Safe travel lads, enjoy, and hopefully it won’t be too long before we will see both back in the green jersey.

WELL!KIDS NURSERY:

The Well!kids nursery continues this coming Saturday morning from 10am to 11am in the GAA grounds. It’s for children aged between 4 and 6 years of age. It’s an action packed hour of fun-filled activities for all to enjoy. Once again, new members are most welcome to come along and get involved, and more importantly it’s free.
