ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

UNDER 13 CAMOGIE:

Our U13 Camogie side qualified for the Shield final with an impressive display last Sunday over a spirited Clonea side on a sunny morning for the game. From the start, the girls got straight down to action, getting on top in all areas. This was reflected with scores from Karimat, Sinead, Sophie and Amelie putting the team in a strong position at the midway point.

Clonea, to their credit, kept battling away, and were rewarded with some good goals. However, more scores from Aine and Amelie ensured the girls qualified for the final. Overall, this was a very good performance from a young side, who showed a great appetite from the start, giving very little away, and more importantly working as a team, which will have pleased the coaches. Their hard work has now been rewarded with a place in the final next Sunday, with opponents, time and venue to be confirmed. It is now back to the training ground next Tuesday night for the players.

TEAM: Ella, Aine, Sophie B, Caoimhe, Manuella, Lilly C, Sinead, Isabelle, Lilly D, Sophie F, Natalia, Ameilie, Zara, Mia, Gracie-Mai, Taylor, Eabha, Amira, Lily W, Holly, Karimat, Maria, Ria.

MUNSTER INTERMEDIATE CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP:

Our Intermediate hurlers begin their Munster Club championship campaign this coming Sunday, November 12th against Kerry senior champions Crotta O’ Neills. The game will take place in Kilmallock GAA grounds, Co. Limerick (Eircode V35 PP83) with a 1:30pm throw-in.

Obviously, this will be new territory for the team, but the lads have worked away since claiming the County title back in September, and we wish Paddy, Stan, Fintan and the team the very best of luck on Sunday. The club are running a supporters’ bus to the game, and there are a limited number of seats still available, if you would like to go along and support the team, please contact Martin 087-2811604.
