FERRYBANK U5 & U6 Games Sat 16th April 2011

The Ferrybank Under 5 & Under 6 teams played at Sacred Heart pitch on Saturday 16th April 2011. Ferrybank should be proud of the day of hurling and football that the kids played today. This was the first outing of the year for the under 5 team and what a debut for this team. They terrorised the Sacred Heart defence with ruthless efficiency and accuracy. Equally the under 6 team dominated with countless successful strikes on target in the hurling game. The U6 football proved a tougher gig but the tenacious spirit of the lads shone through and they relished every minute of it. Every challenge was clean and great spirit was shown especially by our smaller Boys/Girls some of whom were playing for the first time. It was a team effort and everyone can take a clap on the back being able to express their excitement and joy of the games and fun participating. Thanks to Sacred Heart who were excellent hosts and to the TEAMS for a great days entertainment. We would like to extend our gratitude to the parents, grandparents and relatives who got the kids ready and to the venue on time. Your support is crucial and the lads thrive on it.
