GAA NOTES
JUNIOR FOOTBALL: Our Junior Footballers were defeated by Butlerstown last Friday evening on a scoreline of 1-7 to -8pts in their opening game of the East Junior Football championship. The opening score of the game proved vital, as it was the only goal scored, which arrived in the opening minutes, and that proved to be the difference between the sides. At half time Ferrybank trailled by 1-3 to -3pts, despite all their possession, Ferrybank hit some bad wides during that first half, and had a couple of goal chances in that half, they should have been ahead at the end of the first half. In the second half Ferrybank improved with their passing, but once again failure to take chances when scores were their for the taking proved costly, where as every time Butlerstown attacked usually yieled a score, and they always kept 2-3 points ahead during the game. To be fair to Ferrybank they kept going to the end but time ran out on them. It was disappointing to lose a game, Ferrybank should have won giving the amount of possession they had, and more importantly the scoring chances they created, but hopefully they will learn from this game and move onto the next game, which is scheduled for Friday May 6th home to Fenor at 7:30pm. Thanks to all who came along and supported the team.
