UNDER 15 HURLING:
The combined Ferrybank/St. Saviours side qualified for the Championship semi-finals with a 2-18 to 3-08 win over a good St. Oliver’s side in Ballinameela last Wednesday night. The combined side got off to an excellent start with a goal from Conor Haley inside two minutes, shooting low into the corner of the net. This was then followed by five quick points in as many minutes through Harry Flanagan, Fionn McGarrity, Tommy Mullally, Sam Roberts and Conor Haley to put them in command. St. Oliver’s replied with a point to open their account, but the combined team played some excellent hurling causing the St. Olivers’ defence problems, and further points from Conor Haley and Tommy Flanagan extended the lead. Things got even better for Ferrybank/St. Saviour.s, when a line ball was quickly gathered up by the impressive Tommy Mullally, who ran straight through the St. Oliver’s defence and drilled a low shot into the net. Just before the half time break, St. Oliver’s replied with a goal, and this seemed to give them some confidence, with two further points before the whistle, which saw Ferrybank/St. Saviour’s lead 2-08 to 1-05 at the break.
Similar to the opening half, Ferrybank/St. Saviour’s always ensured a bit of distance between the sides with good points from Harry Flanagan and Conor Haley(2), and with solid defending from Sean, Josh and John ensured the team weren't going to let this game slip away. Further scores from Tommy Mullally, Harry Flanagan (2) and Conor Haley finished the scoring for the team, with St. Oliver’s netting a consolation goal with the last puck of the game.
A good display from the team, particularly in the opening half, creating chances and taking their scores, and it’s onto the semi-final now with a game against Clonea this coming Friday, September 23rd at 6:30pm in Carraiganore, where all support will be welcomed on the night.

UNDER 8 BLITZ:
Our U8 hurlers welcomed Roanmore last Friday with four games taking place during the evening. Another excellent performance from these young players, especially as the majority of them play for the U7s as well. On the night, they put on a great display on the field, showing the skill and determination which they have learned in training, and it was put to good use.
Well done to everyone concerned, and also to Alex who was voted Player of the Tournament. Keep up the good work. Thanks to Roanmore for coming over.
UNDER 6/7 BLITZ:
Our U6/7 boys and girls popped out to Mullinavat over the last week. Firstly, last Saturday week, the U6/7/8 boys and girls took on the homeside, and proved more than a match for the hosts, by giving everything on the field, and ensuring they were not going away empty handed, competing fiercely for the ball at all times. It was a day for Sienna who scored four goals for the team on the day, and well done to Lingwei, Mason and Caelan who were the star players in the U6 and U7 category. Whilst well done to Ella and Allanah who excelled for the girls.
It was another trip to Mullinavat last Saturday morning for the U6s.Another glorious morning, saw good numbers from Ferrybank take on the hosts and Tullogher/Rosbercon in a blitz. The team didn’t waste any time in getting down to business on the field, displaying skills with some excellent first touches, passing and movement, with plenty of goals scored, which no doubt left the trainers satisfied with the morning’s work. It was a busy couple of days for Bobby who lined out the previous night for the U8s, and the following day captained the team on the pitch. Well done to Lingwei who was selected as Player of the Tournament. Thanks to Mullinavat for being excellent hosts.
