MINOR HURLING:

Our Minor hurlers were defeated in back-to-back games in the Hurling League. Last Tuesday night, the team was defeated by Clann Na Gael, while on Sunday morning, Mount Sion proved too strong for the side. However, these are useful workouts for the team, as they prepare for the upcoming championship.

Next up for the team is this coming Tuesday, June 14th away to De La Salle in Gracedieu at 7pm, while next Sunday, June 19th, it’s a home game against St. Saviours at 11:30am.

UNDER 13 HURLING:

Ferrybank/Sacred Heart team made a winning start to this year’s Championship last Wednesday with a fine win away to Tramore on a scoreline of 9-07 to 1-10. Goals do win games, and on the night, the team showed no mercy, as all chances created resulted in the green flag being raised, with John-Joe, Mark and Sam doing the damage up front.

A good all round team effort on the night, and it’s another away trip this coming Wednesday, June 15th, to Tallow, where the team plays Cois Bhride at 7pm.

UNDER 8 HURLING:

Our U8s welcomed Mount Sion to the field last Wednesday, where three matches took place. With over 20 players representing the club, there was excellent skills displayed by the team on the night, with plenty of goals scored as well. Special mention to Alex, who won the U8 player of the week, with Hugo winning the U7 awards. While in the Girls’ section, well done to Saoirse and Maeliosa who were winners as well.

UNDER 8 CAMOGIE:

Our U8 Camogie team will play De La Salle this coming Wednesday, and the girls have been putting in some great work over the last couple of weeks. Best of luck everyone.

UNDER 7:

The U7s travelled last Wednesday to take on De La Salle in a blitz. With the players divided into two groups, it was another stellar performance for all concerned, playing in six games, and giving everything on the field.

A feature on the night was the appearance of the Allianz National League trophy, which went down well with all the players. Thanks to De La Salle for being excellent hosts.

TEAM (GREEN) Zac, Sam, Connor (Captain), Caelan, Jamie, Harry, Killian, Ben, Freddie.
