UNDER 13 FOOTBALL:

It’s a big week for the Ferrybank/ Sacred Heart football team as they contest the Division 3 County Final against St. Mollerans this coming Tuesday at 7:45pm in Fraher Field. The team had a great win over Tramore in the semi-final, and no doubt, the lads will give it their all on Tuesday. All support will be greatly appreciated on the night. Best of luck lads.

Our Minor Footballers are in league action this coming Tuesday, May 24th, at 7pm, with a home game against St. Marys.

UNDER 13 HURLING:

The Ferrybank/Sacred Heart combined side will begin their Championship campaign on Wednesday, June 8th when they travel to play Tramore. Also in the group are Passage, St. Olivers, An Ghaeltacht, Cois Bhride, Brickeys Rangers and Ballyduff Lower, with the top four teams qualifying for the knockout stages.

COUNTY DUTY:

Hard luck to Doxer Burns and Iona Heffernan and the Waterford Senior Camogie side that were narrowly defeated by Dublin in Walsh Park last Saturday afternoon in their opening game in this year’s Camogie Championship. The team plays Wexford next Saturday in their next match.

NURSERY & CAMOGIE NEWS:

It was great to see the Ferrybank Under 8 Camogie team playing at the Go Games last Saturday afternoon in Walsh Park during the half-time interval, where they gave an excellent display for all to see, and all the hard work being put in so far is beginning to pay dividends. The team on the day was Anna, Nadia, Kate, Olivia, Savannah, Saoirse J, Maeliosa, Zoey, Lauren, Katie, Ella, Margaret, and Saoirse M.

While in the star of the week, congratulations to Harry and Jake in the Boys section, while in the Girls section, Anna & Sophia were the winners.

It was a busy week down in the field, with Senior Camogie player Iona Heffernan putting the U8 Camogie girls through their paces last Friday night, showing them plenty of skills and drills for them to work on, while another excellent turnout from the Under 7 & 8 Girls which takes place on Saturday morning at 10am, while for the Boys Under 8s training takes place at 11am, where everyone is most welcome to come along.

DÉISE DRAW:

We had no luck in the opening Déise Draw which took place last Wednesday. Huge thanks to all who purchased tickets for the draw.
