ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

UNDER 6 NURSERY:

Another fantastic turnout last Saturday morning for the nursery group, where over 30 boys and girls were put through their paces in glorious weather conditions. It was an action packed session, the children put in a great effort, and excellent progress is now being made.

Again, special word of thanks to all the mentors who have put in a huge effort throughout the year with the kids, and training continues next Saturday at 10am, where new members are most welcome to come along and attend.

QUIZ NIGHT:

With the rescheduling of our annual benefit night, a table quiz was held last Saturday evening. With 17 tables battling it out over eight rounds, each table had their knowledge tested with a variety of questions on the night, including the final round which was based on questions about Ferrybank, Questions included, "Where's  the Burmah Road?” & “Where was the Minister’s Woods?”, also “what year was the Ferrybank GAA club founded?”. After eight tricky rounds, there was nothing to separate ‘Gyles Quay’ and ‘Quiz Lawless’ on 41 points.

Special words of thanks to Tommy Lane who organised the quiz, and acted as MC on the night too, and to Áine Morrissey who corrected round-by-round. Thanks to all who came out and supported the quiz, where everyone had a good night.

COVID-19:

On behalf of COVID-19 Club Officer Tony Power, Tony would like to take this opportunity to thank all parents, coaches, juveniles, camogie, adult hurlers and footballers, and all Ferrybank GAA club members for their cooperation and help with the track and tracing sign-in procedures during this pandemic.

Hopefully, when we return in the new year, we will be back to normal, living with no pandemic checks. Ferrybank GAA Club would like to thank Tony for his fantastic effort, and his attention to detail throughout the season, ensuring smooth safe progress for each training session or match taking place in the grounds, and helping people with any queries in a calm and assuring manner.
