After many hours of consultation, and many meetings, the decision was made due to the current situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.
The challenges would be simply too great for everyone to overcome. Things like, for example, on-line only registration, the non-handling of food/drinks, t-shirts, hurlies and sliothars. No guest visitors, no adults on the bank, no mingling or interaction by everyone. This is simply not what Peadar’s is about.
Our camp is very hands on, everyone is either giving or receiving something on a minute-by-minute basis, this is simply not possible this year within the current strict guidelines.
The decision is deeply regrettable, but ultimately we believe the right decision for all our sake, and that of the community. We do recognise that there will be widespread disappointment with this decision, but we believe it’s the correct decision.
