Our U12 Footballers were defeated by St. Mary’s in their opening game in this year’s competition last Friday night in Newtown on a scoreline of 4-10 to 4-04.
A great effort from the team, and they played their part in an excellent game, and no doubt will improve as the games come along. This coming Friday, September 25th is the next match, with a home game against Ballyduff Lower at 6pm.
UNDER 13 FOOTBALL:
No joy for the U13 Footballers as they were second best on the night to a far superior Clan Na Gael side last Monday. Short five players going into the game didn’t help, but credit to the team, as they kept battling all the way during the game.
UNDER 14 FOOTBALL:
Our U14 Footballers were scheduled to play Gaultier in the semi-finals last Wednesday night, but unfortunately their opponents conceded the game, therefore sending the team into the Eastern final, with date, venue, time and opponents yet to be confirmed.
DÉISE DRAW:
We had one winner in the second Déise Draw of 2020 which took place in the Mount Sion centre last Wednesday night, and congratulations to Geraldine Power who won €2,000 in the draw. Remember it’s not too late to get involved, with another four draws left. Tickets cost €15 per draw, and there is 23 cash prizes to be won on the night, ranging from a top prize of €10,000 to €100. The next draw takes place on Wednesday October 14th.
