They have already qualified for the quarter-finals, which will take place on Friday/September August 9th / 10th August, so it will be a quick turnaround for the team.
Please keep an eye on the social media page from Wednesday to see who will be our opponents in the quarter finals.

It’s a busy week for the U15 hurlers. They defeated Sacred Heart by a single point in an exciting game – Ferrybank 8-04 Sacred Heart 7-06. They make the trip to play Ardmore on Wednesday August 7th at 7:30pm. Your support will be welcomed on the night.

Hard luck to Iona Heffernan and the Waterford Senior Camogie team that were defeated by Galway in the All-Ireland quarter-finals at Semple Stadium last Saturday night.
While its best of luck to Helen Connolly and the Waterford Under 16 Camogie team that play Carlow in the All-Ireland semi-final on Sunday August 11th.

WORLD GAMES:
Last Tuesday night, Ferrybank GAA club hosted Charlotte James Connolly’s from North Carolina USA, who were competing at the Renault GAA world games at the W.I.T. Arena.
On arrival, local historian Jack Burtchaell gave Charlotte James Connolly’s a quick talk on the history of Ferrybank, while Declan O' Meara also spoke on how the club was formed with different guises, before settling with the name Ferrybank.
One of the original founders of Charlotte James Connolly GAA, Kevin Devin from Craughwell in Co. Galway was presented with the club’s home and away jersey, along with the Waterford jersey. They were then treated to a fantastic selection of food that was put on for them, and a huge thanks to Nicola Hoban and the Mother & Others Ladies Football team for preparing the food on the night. The players and supporters of James Connolly then went down to the field for a leisurely puck around with the underage players and displayed plenty of skill with the sliothar, which impressed everyone, and they stood in for plenty of photos, before departing the field. A great night was had by all.

MOTHERS & OTHERS:
The Ferrybank Gaelic for Mothers & Others Ladies Football Team will hold a fundraising Bingo night in the Forum on Wednesday August 14th at 8pm. Tickets cost €6, and can be purchased from Shades Hair Salon, Fountain St., or any player from the Mothers & Others Football team.
With over €2,700 in prize money up for grabs on the night, we would ask all people associated with the club to support this night out. On the night itself, a raffle will take place, with the proceeds been retained by the Ferrybank Gaelic Mothers & Others.
