ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes


INTERMEDIATE HURLING:
The Intermediate hurlers are back in action this coming Saturday, July 13th when they play Erin’s Own at 7pm in Gracedieu (De La Salle) GAA grounds. This will be a close game, as games in the recent past have been keenly contested, and your support will be welcomed on the night.

MINOR HURLING:
This coming Wednesday, July 10th at 7:30pm will see the lads play their opening game in this year’s championship when they play Erin’s Own in Ferrybank. Once again, all support will be welcomed on the night.

UNDER 15 HURLING:
This coming Tuesday, July 9th will see our U15 hurlers make a trip to Leamybrien to play Kilrossanty at 7pm. Having recorded a good win in their opening game, the lads will want to keep their good run going.

UNDER 13 HURLING:
Its Division 1 action for the U13 hurlers this Thursday, July 11th at 7pm, where the lads make the journey to Modeligo to play Naomh Brid.

COUNTY DUTY:
Well done to Naoise MacCathmhaoil and the Waterford U20 Footballers who recorded an excellent win over Clare last Tuesday night in the Munster Championship. They now advance to a semi-final clash with Cork this Friday night in Clonakilty.
Shane Oates also represented Waterford in an U16 football tournament over the weekend in Limerick, well done!
Also, best of luck to Neil O’ Sullivan and the Waterford U20 hurlers who travel to Semple Stadium this coming Tuesday night to play Tipperary in the semi-finals of the Munster Championship. For those who cannot make it to Thurles, the game will be shown live on TG4.
Congratulations to Iona Heffernan who lined out for the Waterford Camogie side that recorded a great win over Meath.
Finally, a big congratulation goes to Helen Connolly who was part of the Waterford U16 ‘B Camogie team that won the All-Ireland by beating Derry. Helen lined out at wing back for the team.

PEADAR’S SUMMER CAMP:
The 28th year of the summer camp will take place from next Monday July 15th to Friday July 19th, from 10am to 2pm daily.
Ireland’s oldest summer camp has been once again kindly sponsored by Kel-Tech engineering, and we would like to thank Ray Breen and his staff for their generous sponsorship.
The summer camp teaches the children aged between 5-15 years of age the skills of hurling, and will also include a tournament.
