ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

JUVENILE GAELIC GAMES ACADEMY:
The juvenile academy for boys and girls aged 5 and 6 years of age will resume this coming Saturday morning from 10am to 11am at the GAA grounds.
The club nursery programme teaches children the basic movements and skills required to play Gaelic games. This includes agility, balance, co-ordination, running, jumping, throwing, catching, striking, and kicking. The club nursery targets the 5 and 6 year olds, and it’s a great way to introduce new children and parents to the club.
All equipment, Helmets, Hurleys, etc. will be supplied. For further information, please contact 087 672 4212.

COUNTY DUTY:
Well done to Mark O' Brien and the Waterford Senior hurling team on registering their second win in this year’s league with a good display in Portlaoise last Sunday afternoon against Laois.
While it was hard luck to Iona Heffernan, Niamh Ahearne and the Waterford Senior Camogie side who were defeated by Cork in the Littlewoods League in Cork last Sunday afternoon.
The Waterford Camogie side is running a sports predictor fund-raiser, with all funds going towards the Waterford Camogie Senior team. Simply predict the winners of the big sporting events that will take place during the year. It costs €10 to enter. You can contact Ita Murphy 087 629 6956 or Ann Shanahan 087 632 4613.

ANGELA BURNS MEMORIAL 10K:
The 5th running of the 2019 Angela Burns Memorial 10K Fun Run/Walk will take place on Sunday April 14th at 11am, starting from the GAA grounds.
Once again, this event has been kindly sponsored by Harvey Travel, and we would like to thank Sean Power and his staff for their kind and generous sponsorship.
Registration is currently open, on www.totaltiming.ie, and its €15 for the runners (chipped) and €10 for the walkers. This event is open to everyone from marathon runners, joggers, walkers, pram pushers etc., and we would ask everyone to keep this date in your diary, and come along and enjoy this great day out.
