ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes


CAMOGIE:

The Intermediate Camogie team contest the Intermediate final this coming Saturday October 6th at 1pm in Carriganore where they play Dungarvan. The team have put in a huge effort all season. This will be a stiff test for the side, and will give it their all on the day. Please come along this Saturday and show your support on the day. Best of luck girls.



U14 HURLING:

It’s County final action as well for the Under 14 hurlers this coming Saturday morning at 10:30am in Fraher Field, Dungarvan where the team play St. Saviours. The side have improve greatly as the season has gone on and now are just one win away from securing the title. Again, your support on the day will be crucial to the team, and we wish them the very best of luck.



MINOR HURLING:

To round off the action on Saturday for Ferrybank, the Minor hurlers are in quarter-final action this coming October 6th at 4pm with a home game against Ardmore. The team have been impressive in their group matches, and let’s hope they can continue their rich vein of form, and once again, all support will be appreciated on the day.



U16 HURLING:

Our Under 16 hurlers qualified for the County final with a fine victory over St. Saviours in Carriganore last Thursday night winning on a score-line of 8-10 to 1-10, and will now play Clashmore/Kinsalebeg on Saturday October 13th.



U10 HURLING:

Our U10s travelled to Na Piarsaigh in Limerick today to take part in the annual Tommy Burtchaell tournament. Great start with a 2-02 to 0-02 win against Ardrahan. The winning ways continued with a superb win over Na Piarsaigh. On then to Crecora, where a tightly fought game ended in a 3 from 3 victory.

Great stuff from all the lads, into the final against Doora-Barefield. After a tough final, our boys came away with a 7 point win to secure the Tommy Burtchaell Shield.

Super day all round, great hopes for the future of our club with all the talent up and coming in this group. Well done to all the mentors and parents, really proud day for everyone.



JUNIOR FOOTBALL:

Our Junior Footballers are scheduled to play Erin’s Own in the quarter-final of the John J Murphy sponsored competition next Saturday. No time or venue has been confirmed, so keep an eye on the social media page for the updates.



DÉISE DRAW:

Congratulations to Paraic Hayden who won €200 in the Déise Draw which took place last Wednesday night in Gaultier. The final draw for 2018 will take place on Wednesday October 31st in Cappoquin. Thanks to all who have purchased ticket throughout the season.
