ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

JUNIOR FOOTBALL:
Our Junior Footballers will play Mount Sion in the John J Murphy Eastern final on Sunday, November 4th at 3:45pm in Carriganore. No doubt, the team will go in as underdogs for this match, despite their thrilling victory over Ballyduff Lower in the semi-final. On the day, your support will be appreciated and let’s hope the team can bring home the trophy. Best of luck lads.

DÉISE DRAW:
The final Déise Draw of 2018 takes place this coming Wednesday, October 31st in Cappoquin; we wish everyone the best of luck on the night.
Thanks to everyone who purchased and supported the Déise Draw throughout the year. The funds raised will go towards helping the young boys and girls to work towards a brighter sporting future with the facilities we provide. Congratulations to Tracey Whelan of Rockenham who was the confined winner for September.

KEEP FIT CLASSES:
Continuing each and every Thursday night in the ball alley from 8-9pm, under the guidance of Chris Dempsey, keep fit classes take place. This is aimed at all ladies, in particular the Camogie, Mothers & Others Football team, etc. and everyone is most welcome to come along and attend. Classes cost €5 per session.

GREYHOUND NIGHT:
The annual night at the dogs in aid of Ferrybank GAA club in association with Surehaul & Rolor Commercials takes place on Saturday, November 17th at Kilcohan Park Greyhound stadium. The first race is off at 7:50pm.
Tickets on the night cost €10 each, and can be purchased from any committee member. Also available from the committee are nomination cards, where you can nominate a dog for €10, and if the dog wins, you win a nice €30.
We would ask all players, members, supporters and families to purchase their tickets from the GAA club, as this benefits the club greatly. Once again, the main door prize has been sponsored by Harvey travel, Gladstone St., consisting of a weekend away in the four-star Castlerosse hotel, Killarney, which includes breakfast and evening meal, and we are very grateful to Sean Power and his staff for their generous sponsorship. The second prize has been sponsored by Murphy & Larkin Carpentry services, consisting of an attic stairs and fitting.
