MINOR HURLING:
Our Minor hurlers scored an impressive victory over Stradbally last Wednesday night winning on a scoreline of 2-21 to 1-05. An imposing opening half, in which the team scored 2-14, laid the foundation for this win.
Early scores from Eimhin Burns and Charlie McLoughlin got the lads of to a good start, and moments later, Eimhin scored a goal from close range. Further points from Charlie Atkins and Ben Fitzpatrick extended the lead. Midway through the half, Ryan Tierney got goal number two, blasting the sliothar to the net. The first-half dominance kept up with more scores from Stephen O' Kane, Cody Griffin, Charlie and Eimhin ensuring a 2-14 to 0-0 lead at the break.
To their credit, Stradbally never gave up, and kept battling away and were rewarded with a goal of their own, and recorded some good points. However, points from Nathon, Charlie and Ryan saw Ferrybank run out easy winners.
