ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes


MINOR FOOTBALL:
No Joy for the Minor Footballers last Wednesday night as they travelled to St. Saviour's and were defeated on a score line of 4-06 to 1-06. The lads must quickly turn their attention to this coming Monday April 2nd where they take on Mount Sion at 12 noon in Ferrybank.

INTERMEDIATE HURLING:
Our Intermediate hurlers begin their Championship season this coming Saturday April 7th where they take on St. Saviour’s in Walsh Park at 2pm in the Gerry Kennedy Crash Repairs sponsored competition. This will be a tough test for the team, and let’s hope they can get off to a winning start. Please come along and support the team.

CAMOGIE:
Our Intermediate Camogie team are in League action this coming weekend, either 7th/ 8th April, with a trip to play An Rinn. In this year’s Championship Ferrybank have been grouped with Lismore, Portlaw, Tallow and Butlerstown; with the opening game scheduled to take place week ending 11th/12th August.

UNDER 11 HURLING:
Its City League action this coming Friday night April 6th at 6:30pm, with our hurlers playing away to Roanmore.

FIRST AID SUPPLIES:
With the playing season now upon us, if any of your group requires First Aid group, you can contact Tony Power on 086-4169215.

ANGELA BURNS MEMORIAL 10K:
The 4th Annual Angela Burns Memorial 10k Fun Run/Walk will take place from the Ferrybank GAA grounds on Sunday 22nd April at 11am. Once again, this event has been kindly sponsored by Harvey Travel Gladstone St, and Ferrybank GAA club are extremely grateful to Sean Power and his staff for their kind sponsorship.
This event is open to everyone from Marathon runners, joggers, walkers, pram-pushers etc, and we would encourage everyone and enjoy this great occasion. Entries are currently open on http://www.totaltiming.ie/event/angela-burns-memorial-10k-2018/ with Runners cost €15 (chipped) and Walkers €10.

MEMBERSHIP:
With the playing season underway, it is that time of the year again, with membership now due for both adults and juveniles. We would ask all players to pay their membership ASAP. Adults €70, Student/Unwaged/Associated members €30. For the Juveniles, its €30 for the first child, and €10 for each additional child.

CLUB JERSEYS:
If anybody in the club has any ABP Jerseys that they have outgrown, could they please donate them back to the club.

DÉISE DRAW:
The Déise Draw will commence in May, and it will be the same format of last year, with six monthly draws taking place at €15 per month. There will be 20 cash prizes up for grabs, with 1st prize a nice sum of €12,500, all the way down to €100. This is the clubs main source of income, and once again, we hope you can continue purchasing a Déise Draw ticket.
