Ferrybank Camogie Notes



COUNTY DUTY:
Best of luck to Iona Heffernan and the Waterford Intermediate Camogie team who are due to play Kildare in the All Ireland Intermediate Camogie Final on Sunday September 13th at 2pm in Croke Park. This is a fantastic achievement and opportunity for Iona and the team.

SCHOOLS BLUE AND WHITE DAY:
In the run up to the All-Ireland camogie final a ‘Blue and White’ day will take place in schools across the county on Friday September 11th. Children are encouraged to wear their Waterford jersey to school on this day and we encourage adults in Waterford to do the same in support of the camogie team.

BANNER COMPETITION:
There is a ‘Best Banner Competition’ being held on the day of the All-Ireland Final in Croke Park. There is €1000 to be won for the best banner so we would encourage anyone attending the game to get creative and make a banner in support of the Waterford team.

ALL-IRELAND INTERMEDIATE CAMOGIE CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL:
Ferrybank Camogie & GAA Club are organising a bus to the All-Ireland Liberty Insurance Intermediate Camogie Championship Final in which Waterford are playing Kildare on Sunday, September 13th at 2:00pm in Croke Park. If anyone is interested in tickets or travelling on the bus, please contact Debbie Boden on 087-9385162 ASAP. The cost of travelling on the bus is €12 per person.

JUNIOR, MINOR & U16 CAMOGIE:
Training this week is on Monday and Wednesday at 6:45pm in the Ferrybank Pitch.

JUNIOR CAMOGIE FIXTURE:
Best of luck to our Junior team who are playing away to Clonea this Thursday, September 3rd at 7:30pm in the fifth round of “The Premium Butcher” Championship.

U13 CAMOGIE:
Well done to our Under 13 camogie team who beat St. Anne's yesterday on a score line of 7-7 to 4-1. The Ferrybank team have joined with Butlerstown for this season. Best of luck to the Under 13 team who are due to play Lismore on Tuesday 8th September at 7:30pm in Lismore.

U12, U10 & U8 CAMOGIE:
Training for our U12, U10 & U8 girls continues every Saturday morning at 10am to 11am in the Ferrybank Pitch. All newcomers are more than welcome. Hurley’s and helmets can be provided on the day. Ferrybank camogie will host a blitz on Saturday 12th September at 11am in the Ferrybank pitch.

NURSERY GROUP:
Training for our nursery girls and boys continues every Saturday morning at 10am to 11am in the Ferrybank Pitch. All newcomers are more than welcome. Hurley’s and helmets can be provided on the day.
Our Under 5 and Under 6 hurlers (boys and girls) will play Slieverue on Saturday September 12th at 10:30am in Slieverue. Players to meet in Ferrybank pitch at 10am. White shorts and green socks to be worn by all players.

FANTASTIC DEAL:
We have a fantastic deal available for registered Ferrybank GAA and Camogie Members. We are selling a pair of green football socks and plain white shorts for 10 euros. The shorts are available in up to age 13. The socks are available in adult sizes 1 – 6 & 7 – 11 and child size 8 – 13. CLOTHES COLLECTION:
Due to the success of our last clothes collection, Ferrybank GAA is embarking on another one. If you have any unwanted textiles and mobile phones - Recycle and Support Ferrybank GAA. Please drop to the club Saturdays between 10am - 11am or at any training sessions. Any clothes, paired shoes, belts, handbags, curtains, towels, soft toys, mobiles phones keep in separate bag. The final collection date is in mid-October but we will be collecting up until then.
