Gerry Ryan golf classic.

Yesterday we held the annual Gerry Ryan memorial golf classic in Waterford golf club, and it was a rip roaring success. In total we had over 50 teams playing this year, a large increase on last years tally.
I what could only be described as seasonal weather conditions, some tremendous golf was played.
The chairman, Garry Ryan, in his speech thanked the players, sponsors, Damien Maguire, the staff of Waterford golf club, Liam Maguire for the photos,
and everyone that helped in any way to the running of our most successful golf classic ever.
The winners of the main golfers prize were Patsy Mc Donald, Stephen Sweeny and John Quinn.
Runners up were Noel Quinn, Seamus Murphy and Ger Whittle.
The mixed golfer section was won by the Heffernan team. The longest drive was won by Micheal Kelly, nearest the pin was won by Sean Fleming.
Well done to all.
The occasion could not be left go by without congratulating Jim Flynn and his wife Vera on their 20th wedding anniversery.
Once again the club would like to thank all concerned, especially the sponsors on the day.

The main prize for our raffle was kindly sponsored by F.B.D. Insurance, and a huge thank you to them.
