Our under 16 footballers started their championship with an away loss to An Gaeltacht. A terrible first half performace left the lads with to much to do and An Gaeltacht ran out easy winners 11pt to 1-4.
The following Sunday the lads set out to make ammends for their dismal perforance against An Gaeltacht, in their second match against St Marys. In a storming first half performace the slip lads showed all that is good about footbal with outstanding displays from Luke Flynn, Oisin MacCaughial, Jamie English, Cormac Hefferan and Steven Treacy. In a one sided contest the slip lads won 3-13 to 4 points.
