U 16 Footballers vs Bricky Rangers

Our U 16 footballers played Bricky Rangers on Sunday Morning. Di spite missing a few players, the slip lads had a strong looking starting 15, but the Rangers tore into our lads and scored 2 early goals. Although rocked back the slip lads hung in and got themselves back into the game and were drawing at half time after a goal by Thomas Lane and a coolly taken penalty by Luke Flynn. The Rangers started the second half well and it needed some excellent team defending lead by Damian Aherne, Seamus Burchall, Jamie English and Emmet Fell. Slowly the slip lads took control with storming displays from Luke Flynn, Cormac Heffernan, Steven Tracey, Mark Russell and lung busting running from, Mark O'Brien, Shane Morrissey, Jamie Diggins, Keith Power, Greg Kinsale. A cracking goal from Darren Hickey gave Ferrybank a convincing win in the end in a game that could have gone either way. Final Score line was 5-6 to 2-12.

Ferrybank now have played 3 won 2 and have one game left to play against Cois Bhride in Tallow with the time to be decided. Next training session is Wednesday at 6.15 in the field.
