ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

UNDER 14 FOOTBALL:

Our Under 14 Football get their championship campaign underway this coming Wednesday, May 7th, with a home game against Tramore at 7pm.

Best of luck to the team, and all support will be welcomed on the night.

 

UNDER 13 HURLING:

Its City League action this coming Sunday, May 11th, with the lads making the trip to play Ballyduff Lower at 11am.

UNDER 12 HURLING:

Our U12 hurlers started their Deise Óg league with a good win over Erin’s Own on Friday. A good performance from players, who displayed good ball skills, and that was reflected with some nice scores.

Next up for the team is a home game against Ballygunner on Tuesday, May 6th, with a 6:30pm throw-in.

TEAM: Cody, Oisín, Kane, Zac, Darragh M, Jackson, Oscar, Caiden, Darragh K, Matthew, Jake, Conor B, Darragh SW.

 

UNDER 11 HURLING:

Ferrybank U11 hurlers made the trip to play De La Salle last Tuesday, and it was the home side who came out on top following a good game of hurling. The lads battled all the way to the end, and credit is due to the team.

Next up is a trip to Abbeyside to play in a blitz on Thursday, May 8th.

TEAM: Darragh M, Joey, Oisin, Cian, Jake, Killian, Sam, Conor P, Harvey, David, Charlie, Sean, Zac, Ben, Cody.

 

MINOR HURLING LEAGUE:

Ferrybank/St Saviours combined side will commence their Minor hurling league programme this coming Thursday, May 8th, with a trip to play Lismore at 7pm. All support will be appreciated on the night.

 

COUNTY HURLING LEAGUE:

The All-County Hurling League commences again this coming Saturday, May 10th, with the team making the trip to play An Rinn with a 6pm throw-in.

Again, all support will be welcomed on the day.

 

CAMOGIE/COUNTY DUTY:

Best of luck to Iona Heffernan, Niamh Ahearne, and the Waterford Camogie Senior team that will play Cork in the Munster Senior Camogie final this coming Saturday in Ennis GAA grounds, while it was hard luck to Ciara, Megan, and the Waterford U16 development team that were defeated by Kildare in the All-Ireland series plate final at Kilcock GAA grounds last Sunday.

Congratulations to the Waterford Under 16A Camogie team on defeating Offaly in Nowlan Park last Saturday in the All-Ireland Shield final.

Ferrybank U14 Camogie side maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a good win over a spirited Ballyduff Upper team last Tuesday.

 

WIN A HOUSE IN WATERFORD:

The Waterford GAA supporters club is thrilled to announce the launch of ‘Win a House in Waterford’ fundraiser. This exciting initiative is designed to support vital areas of Waterford GAA, including youth development and infrastructure projects like the enhancement of Walsh Park.

Tickets cost €100 each and are available from any committee member. 30% of each ticket sold goes directly back to supporting Ferrybank GAA club. The grand prize is a stunning new home built by Frisby homes, located in the highly sought-after Brookfield estate in Kilbarry, Waterford.

Alternatively, a cash prize of €335k is also available, plus many more special draws which will take place throughout. The main draw is scheduled to take place in July.

 

CLOTHING COLLECTION:

The Clothing collection is now up and running for the year ahead, and if you have any items available, you can drop them down to the GAA grounds on weeknights from 6-8pm, and Saturday and Sunday 10am to 12noon. Items of Clothes, Curtains, Shoes are welcomed, bit once again, we kindly ask, NO PILLOWS OR DUVETS.
