ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

COUNTY DUTY:

It was a busy weekend for a number of our club players who represented the County in football and camogie, with Caolan Mac Cathmhaoil lining out for the Waterford Under 20 Footballers in Clonmel against Tipperary last Saturday afternoon.

Iona Heffernan and Niamh Ahearne were also on duty Saturday afternoon with the Waterford Senior Camogie team in Nowlan Park against Kilkenny. Ciara Haley and Meghan were part of the Under 16 team that played Clare in Ferrybank last Saturday afternoon.

Finally, well done to the Good Counsel Girls School in Ferrybank that were victorious in Division 1 of the Cumann na mBunscoil Under 13, seven a side competition which took place in Gracedieu last Wednesday. The girls defeated the Mercy and Holy Cross along the way, before defeating a much-fancied St. Angela's Ursuline side in a thrilling final. They now march on to the county final which is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, April 9th. Well done to all concerned.
