ANNUAL DOG NIGHT:
Saturday, March 8th will see the Annual Benefit Night for Ferrybank GAA club taking place in Kilcohan Park. This popular event is the club's main fundraiser for the year, and we would encourage everyone to keep this date in your diary, as it's not too far away.
COUNTY DUTY:
It was a busy week for the Ferrybank Camogie club, with a number of players being selected to represent the County for the 2025 playing season, and also a number of people appointed in the management/backroom roles.
Congratulations to Iona Heffernan and Niamh Ahearne who have been included in the Waterford Senior Camogie panel for the year ahead, while its best of luck to Paul Martin in his appointment as Manager of the Waterford Under 23 squad, with club player Roisin Oates as one of his assistants.
In the Under 16 Camogie side, best of luck to Vicky Kelly, Paul Barry, and Andrew Kelly who will be involved in the set up with the team, that will also include club players, Ciara & Bella, while Paul & Vicky will also be assisting with the Under 15A panel as well, which will include Zara & Karimat. Sinead Daly is also involved with the U14 county panel. Best of luck to everyone, and it’s great to see so many of the club players and officials involved in this year's set up, which is a testament to the hard work being put in at underage level, and it’s now paying dividends.
IRELAND LIGHTS UP:
Last Wednesday night saw the opening night of Ireland lights up 4k walk. This fun-filled event is designed for everyone of all levels to come down, get involved, and enjoy a nice social walk, and more importantly, meet new friends. Everyone is most welcome to come along and get involved. It is hoped that this coming week, there will be 2 walks; Tuesday and Thursday night starting at 7pm from the GAA grounds. So keep an eye on social media pages for the updates.
