ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

RETURN TO PLAY:

With the return to play scheduled for April 26th, where Under 18 teams will be permitted back into the GAA grounds to resume non-contact training in pods, plans are now underway to ensure that an 'All return to play ' protocols will be in place, and we would request all parents to assist us in complying with these requirements.

CLUB MEMBERSHIP:

With the club action now in sight, we would ask all the adults to pay their membership ASAP for the year ahead. Adults €70, Students/Unemployed €25.

CAMOGIE CLUB:

Our Camogie club are raffling a set of Apple Airpods for just €5. All proceeds raised will go towards the development of the Camogie club. To enter this raffle, just go to the Go-FundMe page on the club's Facebook page, and leave your name when donating. If, for example, you donate €10, you will be entered twice in the draw etc. So, why not give it a go, a great prize to win, all for a worthy cause.

DÉISE DRAW:

The 2021 Déise Draw is scheduled to return in July. Similar to last year, there will be six draws running all the way to December. More details will follow, as they soon come to hand

LAST MAN STANDING:

We are very close to a winner in the Last Man Standing competition folks, and by this coming Wednesday, Nicky Lawless might be the sole survivor, providing Man City win their game against Aston Villa. Unfortunately for Tommy and Davey Lane, West Ham slipped up, leaving Nicky in pole position to scoop the prize. So, if you see any white smoke coming from the Marymount direction on Wednesday night that may provide the clue.

CONDOLENCES:

Ferrybank GAA club would like to extend our sympathies to the family of the late Kathleen Bagge who sadly passed away last week. Kathleen's grandsons Shane and Jay are members of the club. Ar Dheis de go raibh a h-anam.

ANGELA BURNS MEMORIAL:

The Angela Burns Memorial 10k for 2021 will go virtual. The scheduled dates would be from Friday June 4th to Monday June 7th.

Hopefully, by then, more people will be able to meet up to run, jog, walk, cycle, etc. with their family and friends. Further details, will follow in due course.
