ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

COUNTY DUTY:

It wasn't to be for the Waterford Senior hurlers last Sunday afternoon in the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final, as they were defeated by an excellent Limerick side.

The team gave it their all on the day, but Limerick proved too strong, to run out deserving winners. The club can be proud of Mark O' Brien and John Burns for playing their part with the Waterford hurlers throughout the campaign, giving us some great hurling along the way, and brightened up those dark evenings.

Even though it wasn't our day, no doubt, the team will have learned a lot, and will be back next year. Well done lads onwards and upwards for 2021.

Also, it was hard luck to Shane Oates and the Waterford Minor Footballers that were defeated by Limerick last Saturday afternoon in the Munster Football Championship. Shane lined out at corner back for the county, and no doubt it was a proud day for him and his family.

Best of luck to Neil O’Sullivan and the Waterford U20 hurlers against Tipperary tonight (Tuesday) in the Munster Championship.

DÉISE DRAW:

The final Déise Draw of 2020 will take place on Friday, December 18th. Hopefully we can have a few winners on the night, especially with Christmas around the corner. Thanks to all who have purchased tickets during the year.
