UNDER 11 HURLING: Ferrybanks under 11 Hurlers played away to De La Salle last Friday night in the city league. Ferrybank started the brighter with Alex Byrne finding the net early on, with a first time strike on the ground, with Eddie Daly following up with a well taken point. De La Salle hit back, when a long range free went all the way into the Ferrybank net just before the half time whistle. The second half started with Ferrybank on the front foot, and some well tsken points kept them ahead. With the half back line and midfield in complete control, a second Ferrybank goal soon arrived with Hubert Forigal making the most of a loose ball in the DLS area and he drilled it to the net. DLS hit back with a goal of their own, but Ferrybank held out for a good win. Well done lads on a good nights work, and hopefully they can build on this for the year ahead.
