INTERMEDIATE HURLING:

Our Intermediate Hurlers recorded a good win against Ballyduff Lower in the Pat McCarthy Sponsored competition in Dunhill last Night on a scoreline of 4-22 to 0-10. This result ensures qualification for the quater final stages. Ferrybank set about there business early, with MJ Sutton pointing from a sideline, with Cormac O' Driscoll, and Mark O' Brien pointing. Ferrybank got their first goal when Cormac Heffernan latched onto a through ball and blasted the sliothar to the net. Rather than sitting on there laurels, Ferrybank kept the scoreboard ticking over with further points from Mark O' Brien (3), Luke Flynn, and a second goal arrived with Cormac O' Driscoll scoring from close range. It was one way traffic now, and Shane Sullivan, Sam Lawless, Phil Blake, Mark O' Brien, MJ all scoring points, and right on the stroke of half time Cormac Heffernan scored his second and Ferrybank's third goal, leaving it 3-12 to 0-0 at half time. Ballyduff Lower got there opening score of the game in the second half, but Ferrybank, despite emptying the bench kept the points coming with Mark O' Brien & Mark Russell, Eoin O' Neill, Seamus Burtchaeil contributing, and in the closing minutes of the match Phil Blake set of on a solo run and drilled the ball to the net to complete the scoring on the night.
