GAA NOTES
MINOR FOOTBALL: Our Minor Footballers were defeated on a scoreline of -9pts to 1-5 to Mt Sion this morning. This was a game in which Ferrybank should have got something from espically their second half performance, and it was a late point from the home side which yieled their win. Ferrybank found themselves 4 points down at half time 6pts to -2, and at the start of the second half found themselves 5pts behind, but a Luke Flynn goal from a penalty, and points from Stephen Treacy and Oisin Mac Cathaoil brought the Villagers level. It looked like Ferrybank would go on a win the game from their, but despite having enough possession in the Mt Sion half, some poor shooting cost them dearly,as a late Mt Sion score proved the difference. Despite this defeat, all is not lost in qualification and with two game remaining, victory is essential in both. Our next game is next Saturday away to Dunhill/Fenor at 3pm.TEAM: Jamie English, Emmet Fell, Seamus Burchill, Stephen Quinn, Damien Ahern, Mark O' Brien, Oisin Mac Cathaoil, Stephen Treacy, Eoin Buggy, Mark Russell, Luke Flynn, Thomas Lane, Darren Hickey, Robbie Carew. Best on the day were Robbie Carew, Seamus Burchill, Damien Ahern.
