The Ferrybank Under 8 hurling Panel played a match against Tromore tonight Friday 4th Feb 2011.
Team: Izaak Richards, Sean Heffernan, Daniel Griffin, Jamie Sutton, Kyle O'brien, Shane Oates, Alex Byrne, Eddy Daly, Marcus Izotovs, Samuel Lescak, Alex Derham.
This was the Ferrybank Under 8 first game of 2011 and what a night for them. They had their chance to shine and they proved their point . With Daniel Griffin in top form in goal, supported by defence comprising Alex Byrne, Sean Heffernan and Marcus Izotovs not many a sliother got past them. Our midfield Jamie Sutton, Eddy Daly, Kyle O'brien & Shane Oates dominated the centre of the hall and the forwards Izaak Richards, Alex Derham & Samuel Lescak were like terriers in the Tromore goalmouth.
Once again thanks to all the parents and supporters. We were amazed at the volume of support which is vital. You made the kids night and they look forward to their next match.Well done to our players and you should be proud how you represented Ferrybank
Thanks to Tromore who were excellent hosts and to the U8 TEAMS for a great night entertainment. We look forward to welcoming Tromore to Ferrybank for the return leg.
