UNDER 13 FOOTBALL:
No joy for the Ferrybank/Sacred Heart combined side last Saturday morning in their opening game in the Club Déise sponsored league against Dungarvan in Poleberry, where the visitors won a very entertaining match on a scoreline of 5-09 to 4-04.
Hopefully the side can get a win under their belt this coming Wednesday March 30th at 6pm when they play away to St. Saviours.
UNDER 15 FOOTBALL:
Ferrybank/St. Saviours play De La Salle this coming Monday at 6pm in Ferrybank in their opening game in the Club Déise sponsored league.
NURSERY GROUP:
The Nursery Group continues each Friday from 5:45pm to 6:45pm. Last Friday evening saw the players play a local blitz among themselves, with the big numbers on display putting on a great show for all to see, and it was a great success from start to finish.
On Saturday mornings, Under 8's Camogie training takes place from 10am, and at 11am the Under 8's boys are put through their paces.
Excellent numbers are coming through the gates each week, and well done to all the mentors and trainers for the time they are putting in.
PEADAR’S SUMMER CAMP:
Ireland’s oldest and longest running camp is scheduled to make its comeback on Monday July 18th. A week of learning the skills of our national game, and with some famous hurlers making guest appearances during each day. No doubt this will be a popular camp to attend for boys and girls up to the age of 13. So keep a note of the date in your diary.
WATERFORD HURLERS:
Best of luck to the Waterford Senior Hurlers in the final of the National Hurling league on Saturday in Thurles against Cork.
MOTHERS & OTHERS:
Training continues for the Mothers & Others every Wednesday at 7:30pm. New members are most welcome to come along and enjoy this non-contact game.
DAFFODIL DAY:
Last weekend saw the Irish Cancer society hold their Daffodil Day, and Coffee by King, which is based at the club grounds on a Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 2pm, held a Tea/Coffee event for the occasion.
Complimentary Teas and Coffees were given out on the day in order for a small donation to be given towards the Society, and a fantastic sum of over €700 was raised on the day. Thanks to everyone who supported this worthy cause.
CLOTHING COLLECTION:
The clothing collection is continuing. If you have any of the following items, drop them down to the GAA grounds;
- Clothes
- Paired Shoes
- Belts
Please do NOT send down any DUVETS OR PILLOWS.
Bags can be left at the entrance to the club's grounds on a weeknight, or between 10 am and 11 am on Saturday mornings.
