ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

NURSERY GROUP:

It was another busy weekend for the underage and nursery groups, with another bumper crowd of 4 to 7 year old children being put through their paces. Training for this group is on a Friday night from 5:45-6:45pm in the hurling alley, and as usual, everyone is more than welcome to come along and join in the fun.

The Under 8s welcomed Roanmore to the hurling alley last Saturday morning, where both sides served an excellent game, showing some great skills with the ball, and the hard work is now beginning to pay off, largely due to the excellent coaching that has been given to the children, well done to all involved.

FIRST AID:

With the playing season just around the corner and training now up and running, if any coaches need their first aid boxes restocked or topped up, could they please contact Tony Power 086 416 9215 or e-mail powertrain42@gmail.com, and Tony will happily sort you out.

COUNTY DUTY:

It was another good weekend for the Waterford Senior Camogie team, which involved Doxer Burns as coach, players Iona Heffernan, Niamh Ahearne and Valerie O' Brien. The team recorded a very good win over Tipperary in Dungarvan last Saturday afternoon, thus maintaining their unbeaten record in the National League.

MOTHERS & OTHERS:

Training continues on Wednesday night at 7:30pm in the alley for the Mothers & Others. It’s a non-contact sport, and caters for all ages, abilities and fitness levels. Everyone is welcome to come along and get involved.
