MAINTENANCE:
Work has commenced on the club's grounds, and it is still
out of action until further notice.
The car park is currently being tarmaced, ducting for
utility services are being installed, and the main entrance is being concreted
to enhance drainage. This project will also serve as enabling work for
additional upcoming projects.
This work is been funded by the Field Fixer contribution
scheme, which has delivered numerous capital projects for the club; which has
included pitch drainage, ball-alley construction, installation of the astroturf
running track and field perimeter railings, and the purchase and erection of
the utilities shed. Ferrybank GAA club would like to thank all of those Field
Fixers for their contributions and continued support. If you are interested in
becoming a Field Fixer, please contact any member of the committee.
A.G.M.
The club’s A.G.M. takes places tonight (Monday, January 20th)
at 7:30pm in the Parish hall. This provides an opportunity to reflect on the
last 12 months of the club's activities, and more importantly, the year ahead.
We would ask everyone associated with the club to come along, and in addition, any
new people who would like to contribute in any way, we would be delighted to
see them there.
UNDER 17 FOOTBALL:
U17 Football is set to commence on the week ending the February
9th, and we have been paired with Stradbally, St. Saviours and
Roanmore. All games will be 13 a-side.
ANGELA BURNS 10K:
The annual Angela Burns Memorial 10k Run/Walk will take
place on Sunday April 19th at 11am. With the new year in full swing,
now is the time to get out and about. For anyone interested in doing a bit of
running, no matter whether you are a beginner or a part-timer runner, why not
come down to the Ferrybank GAA grounds on Tuesday or Thursday evenings at 7pm,
where you are ensured of a warm welcome, where all levels are catered for, with
a bit of fun along the way.
