ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

UNDER 13 HURLING:
No joy for the U13 hurlers in the semi-final of the Déise in Dublin Division 1 Bord Na nÓg County championship last Saturday afternoon when they were defeated by Ballygunner on a score-line of 2-16 to 1-05.
A huge first-half effort from the team saw them trail by 0-07 to 0-03 at the break, but Ballygunner pulled away with two second half goals to run out clear winners.
The lads lost nothing in defeat, and can be proud of their effort all year. Competing in Division 1, they never left themselves down against the top teams, and no doubt, can only go from strength to strength for next season. A huge thanks to John and Marty who looked after the team during the campaign.

TOMMY BURTCHAELL TOURNAMENT:
The annual Tommy Burtchaell tournament will now take place on Sunday October 20th at the Na Piarsaigh GAA grounds. It was scheduled to take place last Sunday but some of the pitches were flooded.

DÉISE DRAW:
We had two winners in the final Déise Draw of 2019 that took place in Colligan last Wednesday night. Congratulations to Tommy Carew who won €150, and to Davy Lane who won the Supervalu voucher. Once again, thanks to all those who purchased tickets from the club throughout the year.
