ABP sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

GREYHOUND NIGHT:

Thanks to Surehaul / Rolor Commercials, our annual fund-raiser at the dogs took place last Saturday night, where a large crowd from the village made their way to Kilcohan Park. A great night was had by all, with plenty of thrills and spills on the track, with a few people going home with a smile on their face and a few extra bob in their pocket.

As we all know, nowadays, this event wouldn’t have taken place without an excellent committee who left no stone unturned in ensuring an well organised evening. Ferrybank GAA club would like to thank Dan O' Connor of Surehaul / Rolor Commercials for their sponsorship of this event, and we are extremely grateful for them coming on board yet again. Also, thanks to Sean Power and his staff at Harvey Travel, Gladstone Street for sponsoring the main gate prize, which was a weekend away in the four star Castlerosse hotel Killarney, including two night B&B and evening meals, and congrats to Paul Carew who was the winner on the night.

The attic stairs, kindly sponsored by Murphy Larkin Carpentry services, was won by Urszula Tomczuk. Other winners on the night included Pat Kirby, who won a meat voucher, Charlie Atkins won a meal voucher, and Hasbro games were won by Pat Stephens and Tommy Carew, while Siobhan Heffernan won a Camogie top.

Furthermore, many thanks who purchased their tickers from the club, people who bought dog nominations, our advertisers and sponsors, and we ask that you support our advertisers and sponsors throughout the year. Finally, thanks to the management and staff at the Waterford Greyhound staff for their help in organising this night out for us.

MUNSTER CLUB CHAMPIONS:

Congratulations to Ballygunner’s senior hurlers who were crowned Munster Club Champions in Semple Stadium last Sunday afternoon, with a well-deserved win over Na Piarsaigh of Limerick. Let’s hope they can now go all way to All Ireland club glory.
