Ferrybank GAA - Weekly Notes



COUNTY DUTY:

Congratulations to Iona Heffernan and Niamh Ahearne, and the rest of Waterford Camogie panel on their great win away to Dublin in their latest league Division 1 game, winning on a score-line of 0-11 to 0-07.



UNDER 8/10 CAMOGIE:

Training continues this coming Wednesday night at 6pm in the Alley for the Under 8/10 Camogie players.



UNDER 5/6 HURLING:

The Under 5/6 Hurlers are now training every Saturday morning at 10am in the club hurling alley. Hurleys & Helmets are supplied. All boys & girls are most welcome to come along and learn the skills of our national game.



ANGELA BURNS MEMORIAL 10K:

The third annual Angela Burns Memorial 10k Fun Run/Walk, kindly sponsored by Harvey travel Gladstone St., will take place on Sunday April 23rd at 11am from the GAA grounds. Entry fee is €15 for runners (chipped) and €10 for the walkers. This event is open to everyone from Runners, Walkers, Joggers, Leisurely walkers, pram pushers etc, and we would encourage everyone to come along and enjoy this great day out. UNDER 13 & U15 PRESENTATION:

Last Saturday night in the Parish Hall saw the presentation of medals to the victorious Under 13 Eastern Football winners, and also to the Under 15 County Hurling & Football champions. A great night was had by all, and a special words of thanks to inter county hurler MJ Sutton who came along on the night, and presented the medals to all the players.



ADULT MEMBERSHIP:

With the playing season not too far away, membership for the coming year is Adults €70, Student/Unwaged €30. We would ask all players to pay their membership ASAP.



UNDER 16 FOOTBALL:

The Under 16 footballers recorded a good win over Stradbally in their latest championship game on Sunday morning winning on a scoreline of 4-05 to 0-04. Next up is a trip to play The Nire on Sunday 19th March at 11am.



DÉISE DRAW:

The 2017 Déise Draw is scheduled to take place this coming May. It's a new formula this year with 6 draws taking place, 1 per month. The tickets will cost €15 per month, with the prize money increasing from €10,000 to €12,500 for 1st prize, 2nd prize will go to €3,000, with €1,000 for 3rd/4th prize, all the way down to 20th place. The club will get 70% from the draw, so we would encourage all members of the club to support this fantastic draw.
