FERRYBANK GAA - WEEKLY NOTES

INTERMEDIATE HURLING:
Our Intermediate hurlers were defeated by a stronger St. Saviours side in the Whites Bar of Ballymacaw sponsored Hurling League in Ferrybank last Saturday evening. The opening half was keenly contested with St. Saviours starting the better with three early points, but Ferrybank replied with good scores from Robbie Carew (2) and Luke Flynn to level it up.
From there on, there was little to separate the sides, with scores being exchanged, and points from Phil Blake, Eoin O' Neill, Shane O’ Sullivan and Oisín MacCathmhaoil ensured it was level at 0-09 each at the break.
St. Saviours got on top in the second-half and quickly put four points between the sides, and tried as Ferrybank did, St. Saviours ran out good winners on a scoreline of 0-19 to 0-13.
The team must now turn their attention to Championship mode this coming Saturday June 20th with a game against St Mollerans at 4:15pm in Walsh Park, where your support will be appreciated on the day.

JUNIOR HURLING:
Our Junior Hurlers are back in action this coming Friday with a trip to Poleberry to play Erins Own at 7:30pm. A stiff test for the boys, and support will be welcomed on the night.
