GAA NOTES

UNDER 7 & 8 HURLING: Our Under 7 & 8 hurlers travelled to Gracedieu last Saturday morning to play Roanmore in two challenge games. On a beautiful day for Hurling, both games had dramatic finishes. The Under 8 team were under fierce pressure, and Roanmore dominated two thirds of the game, but Ferrybank turned the game around, and launched a Blitzkreig attack on their opponents, resulting in plenty of scores, and in the end Ferrybank had a couple of points to spare. Our Under 7 Hurlers excelled at ground Hurling, and in the first half were unstoppable , but with the rising of the ball in the second half, Roanmore came back, and proved to strong for Ferybank in the end. It was another Fantastic day out for Ferrybank, who showed their tenacious fighting spirit. Thanks to Roanmore for being excellent hosts on the day, and we will look forward to the return leg in Ferrybank in a few weeks time.
