GAA NOTES

JUNIOR HURLING: Our Junior Hurlers travelled to Lisduggan last night to play St Pauls in a challenge game, and following a good game of hurling, the home side ran out 4-10 to 4-6 winners. This was the first game for many of the players, and a bit of ring rustiness showed, as some good scoring chances went a miss. The highlight of the game was a three goal haul from Marty Freeman who took his chances when he got them. St Pauls took their chances and were handed a few soft scores, which no doubt will be rectified in training. Overall the team will have learnt a lot from the game, and should improve from the game. There will be training on Wednesday night at 6:30pm in the field for the Junior Hurlers. TEAM: Fred Caroll, Emmet Fell, John Byrne, Eddie Byrne, Dean Phelan, Paul Martin(-2), Greg Kinsella, Hugh O' Neill, Kevin Hurley(-2), Luke Flynn, Martin Freeman(3-0), Darren Hickey(-1), Tommy Carew(-1), James Murphy, Sean Rellis, Aidan Sinnott, DJ Magee(1-0), Eoin Buggy.
