Tonight Waterford play Clare in the first round of the championship in Walsh Park. This is a great occasion for one of our up and coming stars Cormac Heffernan. Cormac is starting in the forwards in what is a very competitive position. Cormac is following in the footsteps of his father, uncles, aunt and cousins, all of whom represented their county.
We had two more players in the mix for places, Sam Lawless and Damien Aherne, but unfortunately the lads didn't make it this year. Not from lack of effort though as they tried their very best, that's all anyone can do.
