Today we played Mount Sion in minor football and what a great game it was. Our opening score was a goal followed by 2 quick points. Then Mount Sion came back with a bang scoring 2 fast goals to set the game up for a thriller. End to end stuff then happened for the entire first half with us winning by2 points at half time.
Then came the second half in which Mount Sion started with a bang, scoring 2 goals within 6 minutes. At this stage we were struggling big time, but some great scores from Luke Flynn kept us in the game. For the last 10 minutes we dominated the game, but only scored a late equaliser in the dieing seconds to end a very keenly contested game, and a game played in the right spirit.
Honours even was just about a fair result.
