Last Saturday 6th March we played our opening match in the Board Na nOg Football Championship against a well organised Dunhill/Fenor. As expected it was a very close and exciting match and despite the score line Ferrybank were never sure of the victory until the final minutes. Jeff Lawless and Daryl Griffin were outstanding in the back line. David English was solid in the goal, Liam Og Carey and John Ahern ran there socks off in midfield while M.J Sutton, David Akins and Tiernan Morrissey were the best of our forwards. Next match this Saturday at home against Mount Sion at 4.30pm.
