MINOR FOOTBALL: Our Minor Footballers travelled to Gracedieu on Sunday Morning to play Roanmore knowing defeat would almost end there championship hopes for the year. Playing against the breeze scores from Greg Murphy and the impressive Stephen Treacy kept Ferrybank in touch and just before half time a Mark Russell goal gave Ferrybank a 1-6 -3pt lead at half time. In the second half further scores from Luke Flynn, Cormac Heff, and Stephen Treacy gave Ferrybank a comfortable win in the end on a scoreline of 1-13 to -3pt. Our scores were Greg Murphy -7(5f), Stephen Treacy -4, Mark Russell 1.0, Luke Flynn -1, Cormac Heff -1,.Man of the match Stephen Flynn. We now play our final game on Sunday March 21st at 11.30am at home to Kilmacthomas, where victory is vital. Training contuines on Friday night at 6pm.
INTERMEDIATE HURLING: Our Intermediate Hurlers contuined there preparations for this years championship with a comfortable win over Tramore last Sunday Morning in Ferrybank on a scoreline of 2-14 to -5pts. Despite been short a number of players through various reasons this was a good opportunity for the fringe players to impress and they didnt disapoint. This was a good confidence booster for the team and hopefully they will go from strength to strength with this result.
