INTERMEDIATE HURLING: Our Intermediate Hurlers travelled to Gracedieu last Saturday to play Roanmore in a challenge game, as they contuine there preparations for there championship games which start at the end of next month. Following a closely contested first half we trailed by a point with the highlight been an excellent individual goal by Damien Heffernan. In the second half we started to play with a lot more confidence and matched Roanmore point for point, and in the end the game ended all square on a scoreline of 1-13 each. There is no doubt this was a much improved performance by the team from last week and if they can contuine this effort they will certainely give a good account of themselves when the championship commences. I am sure the selectors will have been heartened by this performance .
