Intermediate hurlers

Our Intermediate hurlers played Mt Sion in cleaboy last Thursday night, in the eastern championship and where defeated on a score line of 18pts to 2-9. We made a great start with a fine strike from Cormac O’Driscoll but an experience Mt Sion, struck back with 4 unanswered points. However a second strike from ‘Joe Joe’ seemed to settle the team but Mt sion finished the half stronger and lead by 3pts at Half time. A good start was vital for us in the second half but it was Mt sion who made it with 5pts on the trot, however to their credit with a few switches made ferry bank refused to throw in the towel, dug deep and whittled the lead down to 3pts before time went against us. Our final game is against Ballygunner scheduled for Thursday 30th in cleaboy. A big thank you to all the supporters who came to support the team.
