Under 11 hurling

Our under 11’s have qualified for the semi final of the CountryStyle city league after defeating Dunhill/Fenor in the Quarter-final this evening Friday 16th . It was a very close game and Ferrybank needed to put in what was probably there best performance this year to defeat a very good Dunhill/Fenor team. Losing by 2 goals at half time the team kept there composure and kept working out scoring chances and finally there perseverance paid off when Isaac Power scored 2 goals in quick succession to level the match. John Hickey added 2 more before Dunhill/Fenor pulled a goal and a point back to set up a nail biting finish before man of the match Isaac Power added his third goal that ultimately decided the game. As well as those mentioned above we had outstanding performances from David Adkins, Johno Brown, Daryl Griffin, Niamh Ahern, Iona Heffernan and Shane Maher. They will all need to repeat if not better there performance when we play the Semi final next Friday.
