Intermediate Continue Improved Form

For the second week in a row the Intermediate Hurlers had cause to bemoan missed chances as they went down 3-12 to 3-10 to Erins Own. As with the previous week the lads had some great opportunities to pull off a mighty result but, in the final analysis those missed chances and a number of key injuries left us with nothing to show for our endeavour. During the course of the game Paul Martin, Shane O'Sullivan and Damian Heffernan were forced out, all with leg injuries. Hopefully with a short break we can get back the above plus those out with long term injuries and the lads can then make a definite assault on the remainder of the championship. No doubt with improvement shown in each game it won't be too long until all these disappointing results are well and truly buried. There is no hurling training this coming week as the Intermediate footballers are due to commence their championship campaign next weekend.
