UNDER 20 COUNTY HURLING FINAL:
This coming Friday night in SETU Arena, Carriganore, Ferrybank will play An Ghaeltacht in the U20 County Final with a 7:30pm throw-in. No doubt this will be a stiff test for the team and they will have to be at their best on the night.
Once again, we would appeal to everyone associated with the club to come out and support the team, and hopefully, they can bring home the cup. Best of luck to Robbie Carew and Cormac Heffernan, the backroom team, and indeed the players.
U16 FOOTBALL:
The combined Ferrybank / Erin’s Own U16 Football team unfortunately lost their County Shield Final against Ballinacourty in Abbeyside on Wednesday evening. Trailing by 14 points at half-time, the boys put in a strong second half comeback but had left themselves too much to do and ultimately lost by a 4-point margin on a scoreline of 2-11 to 3-4.
U14 HURLING:
Following his impressive performances at the recent Waterford GAA Talent sessions, Logan has been selected for the Waterford Under-14 Hurling Development Panel for 2026. Everyone at the club extends their warmest congratulations and wishes him the very best as he takes this exciting step into the county setup.
CONDOLENCES:
Ferrybank GAA was deeply saddened to hear of the tragic passing of Aoife Bird (neé Oates) and her baby Ailbhe last week.
On behalf of all our players, coaches, members, and supporters, we extend our heartfelt condolences to Aoife’s husband Jim Bird, their son Daithí, and the Oates/Freeman families at this incredibly difficult time.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha.
