APB sponsored Ferrybank GAA Weekly Notes

BENEFIT NIGHT:

Ferrybank GAA club will hold its annual benefit night on Saturday, March 9th in Kilcohan Park. Over the last number of years, this has become the club’s biggest fundraiser. Once again, we hope everyone from the club and parish will come out and support this night out.

Tickets for the night itself are currently available in the following locations; Coffee by King (GAA Grounds), Colin Molloy Butcher Shop, Mandarin Palace bar and Restaurant, and also from Declan Howard (087-9393818). Tickets cost €10, and all tickets purchased directly from the places listed above will see the money being retained by the club itself.

There will be also a number of prize draws on the night, where the main gate prize will once again has been kindly sponsored by Sean Power and his staff at Harvey Travel, Gladstone St., which is a weekend away in the four-star Castlerosse Hotel, Killarney, that includes breakfast and an evening meal, plus many more spot prizes.

There will be a free Bus shuttle to and from Kilcohan Park on the night as well. So, we would encourage everyone to get behind the Dog night and show your support.

 

CAMOGIE CLUB:

Ferrybank Camogie Club have resumed training for the season ahead, with training taking place on various days and nights. Everyone is most welcome to come down and get involved, where they will be greeted with a warm welcome, and more importantly, given excellent coaching skills and advice by the coaches themselves, plus it’s a great way to meet new friends. Training takes place on the following days.

- UNDER 8/10 Saturday at 11am.

- UNDER 11/12/13/14 (Born 2010/11/12/13) Saturday at 10am.

- UNDER 14/15/16 (Born 2008/09/10) Tuesday 7-8pm, Thursday 6:15pm-7:15pm, Saturday 12:10-1pm.

 

UNDER 10/13 HURLING & FOOTBALL:

Our U10 to U13 teams are back in light training mode, as they prepare for the season ahead. Currently, the players are in football mode at the moment. New players are welcome to come down and get involved, and enjoy the social aspect to it.

UNDER 5/6/7/8/9 HURLING:

Our Underage teams are now back in training, under the watchful eye of Seamie, Damien, and Barry. Big numbers have been coming down, and getting involved, where the boys are being put through their paces, and enjoying the challenges they are given.

As usual, new members are most welcome to come down and get involved, where a warm welcome awaits, and it’s a great way to meet new friends, with excellent coaching on hand.

- UNDER 9 Boys ( Born in 2015) Monday and Wednesday 6:15-7pm.

- UNDER 5/6 Boys (Born in 2018/19) Friday 6:15pm-7pm.

 

COUNTY DUTY:

Hard luck to Iona Heffernan and the Waterford Senior Camogie side that were narrowly defeated by All Ireland Champions Cork in their ‘Very League’ Camogie match last Saturday afternoon in the S.E.T.U. arena.
