The Ferrybank Under 7 hurling panel played Mount Sion this Saturday (16th November). Ferrybank put in a great effort. The panel of 20 was divided into two teams. Ferrybank conceded some early goals to a physically much bigger and slightly older Mount Sion squad. As the games wore on we settled into it and defended well.
With some good hurling being played by both sides, the second-half was very entertaining. Our boys illustrated the required fighting spirit and it was a great day’s fun and excitement for all. Mount Sion proved fierce opponents and credit must be paid to them for the manner in which they played the games. In the end we lost 1 game and won 3.
Once again thanks to all the parents and supporters. We were amazed at the volume of support which is vital. You made the kids night and they look forward to their next match.
Well done to our players and you should be proud how you represented Ferrybank.
